    Custom Jobs, Consistent Tracking

Fabrication shops handle one-off and short-run projects where every job is different. JobLine adapts to this by letting you define custom routing per work order: Cut → Fit-Up → Weld → Grind → Paint → Assemble → Ship. Each step can have different operators and different stations.

    Welding Certifications & Quality

Assign certified welders to welding steps using operator skills and certifications in JobLine. The system tracks which welder performed each weld, supporting traceability requirements for structural and pressure vessel work. NCRs link back to specific welds and welders for root cause analysis.

    Photo Documentation

Fabrication work is visual. Operators attach photos at each routing step — fit-up alignment photos, weld bead photos, paint finish photos. These images travel with the work order through the routing and are available during shift handoffs so the next operator sees exactly what was done.

    Shift Handoffs for Long Projects

Large fabrication projects span multiple shifts and days. Handoff notes capture: 'Frame assembly 60% complete, tack-welded per drawing Rev C. Left side gussets still need final weld — use E7018 rod, preheat to 300°F per WPS-042. Overhead crane reserved for Bay 2 tomorrow morning.' This level of detail prevents costly rework.

    Material Tracking

Log material lot numbers and heat numbers on work order notes for traceability. When a quality issue surfaces months later, you can trace back to the specific material lot, the welder, and the date — all from JobLine's digital record.
