Shift Stats & Analytics
How to read and use the shift-level statistics panel for performance tracking.
What Shift Stats Show
The shift stats panel aggregates production data for a single shift period. Metrics include: total parts produced (good + scrap + rework across all stations), the number of work orders started, completed, and still in progress, handoff submission count and acknowledgment rate, total downtime minutes across all stations, and the number of NCRs filed during the shift.
Accessing Shift Stats
Shift stats are visible on the Supervisor dashboard and accessible from the Analytics section. By default, the panel shows the current shift's data. Use the shift selector to view previous shifts — typically labeled by name (Day, Swing, Night) and date. The data updates in near real-time for the current shift and is finalized for past shifts.
Station-Level Breakdown
Click "View Details" on the shift stats panel to drill into per-station metrics. This breakdown shows each station's contribution to the shift total: parts produced, utilization percentage, downtime events, and the operators who were checked in during the period. Use this to identify which stations carried the shift and which underperformed relative to expectations.
Comparing Shifts
Select two or more shifts to view a side-by-side comparison. This helps you answer questions like: Is the day shift consistently outproducing the night shift? Is downtime trending upward on weekends? Are certain operators consistently higher-performing? These comparisons are most valuable over a week or month of data, where patterns become clear.
Using Stats for Continuous Improvement
Shift stats are a starting point for continuous improvement conversations. If scrap rates are climbing, investigate whether it correlates with a specific station, material batch, or operator. If utilization is low, examine whether stations are idle due to material shortages, operator availability, or scheduling gaps. Data-driven discussions are more productive than assumptions.
